October 30, 1999 - January 16, 2000

For the first time this century, the Worcester Art Museum is showing in its entirety its set of Hiroshige's most popular prints. These prints by one of Japan's most famous artists depict the journey from the shogun's city of Edo to the imperial capital Kyoto. Full of details of everyday life along this famous road, these outstanding prints are from the Museum's renowned John Chandler Bancroft Collection.
