As part of ongoing renovation and enhancement projects throughout the Museum, you may encounter temporary changes to galleries and other spaces when visiting. When planning your visit, please read the latest updates below. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- To enter the Museum, please use the Lancaster Street entrance or the Salisbury Street entrance. Both entrances are fully accessible.
- The elevator from Stephen Earle Hall is currently unavailable as we upgrade and modernize the system. All areas of the Museum remain accessible through alternative routes. Gallery attendants are available to assist with directions through the Museum. Learn more about accessibility at WAM.
The Stoddard Courtyard is currently closed for construction. Learn more about how we are restoring our iconic building.
The Museum Café is currently closed. Other refreshment and dining options are available, including Acoustic Java at WAM, our new pop-up espresso bar in the Lancaster Lobby on the first Sunday of every month.
Many objects from the Egyptian Gallery on the first floor are currently on view in our exhibition, Jewels of the Nile: Ancient Egyptian Treasures from the Worcester Art Museum.
The Library is temporarily closed while we prepare to move it to the Higgins Education Wing. We look forward to opening the new library in early 2023. Learn more about this exciting project.
